iVend Retail Customer Success Story World Bicycle Relief

Oscar Jacobson

World Bicycle Relief was founded in 2005 by F.K. Day and Leah Missbach Day in response to the Indian Ocean tsunami. As a founder of SRAM Corporation and a leader in product development, F.K.’s role offered a unique opportunity to solve problems with cycling industry leaders. Together, with support from SRAM and other industry leaders, F.K. and Leah launched World Bicycle Relief to provide bicycles for those in need. In partnership with aid organizations in Sri Lanka, World Bicycle Relief distributed more than 24,000 bicycles to displaced survivors, providing access to education, healthcare, and livelihoods while reconnecting entire communities. Nearly 15 years later, more than 150 staff across 13 countries are changing lives with bikes

World Bicycle Relief automates its retail processes with iVend Cloud – a SaaS enterprise class retail management platform

Our biggest fear was to be able to fully integrate the offsite sales with the head office as well as provide fiscalised receipts to our customers. Hence, we took time before deciding on a sophisticated omnichannel solution like iVend Retail. Our implementation partner Cloudline and CitiXsys made sure that the implementation process was completely hassle free. We have been able to achieve considerable improvements to customer service, inventory visibility and customer satisfaction.

– Gareth Desmond, Director
