The Nictus Group of Companies was created in 1945 and was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1969. The majority of the company’s operations were based in South West Africa. Nictus Holdings Limited (better known today as Nictus Namibia) was unbundled from the JSE-listed firm in 2012 and was predominantly listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange on September 21, 2012. Nictus Holdings Limited is the holding company for a group of firms in Namibia that operate in several fields such as retail of motor vehicles, tyres, furniture, glass, and financial and insurance services. The group currently operates in three segments: retail, real estate, and insurance and finance.
