F2 Customer Search

The button enables the user at the POS to search the existing customers. Depending on the rights assigned, the user can update the details of the existing customers and add new customers.

 

The “Customer Search” screen is displayed on pressing F2 or clicking “F2 Customer Search”. The details of the screen are as follows:

Code

Text Box

Enter the code of the customer to be searched.

The user can enter the “Code” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

First Name

Text Box

Enter the first name of the customer(s) to be searched.

The user can enter the “First Name” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Middle Name

Text Box

Enter the middle name of the customer(s) to be searched.

The user can enter the “Middle Name” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Last Name

Text Box

Enter the last name of the customer(s) to be searched.

The user can enter the “Last Name” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Company Name

Text Box

Enter the name of the company whose customer(s) has to be searched.

The user can enter the “Company Name” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Accounting Id

Text Box

Enter the accounting id of the customer to be searched.

The user can enter the “Accounting Id” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Marketing

Text Box

The user can select a value through the keypad on the right side grid and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

The  following scenarios are available as an option:

All-To search for all the users setup in the system.

True-To search for the users with ‘Is Marketing’ enabled.

False-To search for the users with ‘Is Marketing’ disabled.

Phone Number

Text Box

Enter the phone no. of the customer to be searched.

The user can enter the “Phone Number” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Mobile Phone

Text Box

Enter the mobile phone of the customer to be searched.

The user can enter the “Mobile Phone” either through the keypad on the right side grid or the keyboard and press F1 or click “F1 Search” to display “Search Results Grid” for the customer(s) searched.

Active

Drop Down

Select one of the following scenarios:

All - To search for all the customers setup in the system.

True - To search for the customers with ‘Active’ option enabled.

False - To search for the customers with ‘Active’ option not enabled

Zip Code

Text Box

Enter the zip code of the customer to be searched

Search Results

Code

Grid

Displays the code of the customer (s) searched.

First Name

Grid

Displays the first name of the customer(s) searched.

Buttons

F1 Search

Text Box

The button enables the user to search for the existing customers.

Specify the “Search Criteria”, if any, by entering/ selecting the required values and click the search button. The search results are displayed in the grid.

If the user does not enter any value against the “Search Criteria” all the existing customers are displayed in the grid.

F2 Clear

Button

The button deselects the selected row in the “Search Results” grid.

F3 New

Button

The button enables the user to setup a new customer. Click on this button to open the “Customer” screen. For details of the setup refer the Customer section in the Management Console manual.

F4 Edit

Button

The button enables the user at the POS to update the details of the customer setup. Click on the button to open the “Customer” screen and edit the information.

F6 Copy

Button

The button copies the content of the selected row in the ‘search results’ grid to the ‘data setup’ screen.

F7 View

Button

The button opens a customer screen for the selected row in the read only mode.

Ok

Button

Click The button after selecting a customer to specify the customer for the current transaction at POS.

Cancel

Button

The button closes the screen.
