Hardware Registration
The feature supports registering the hardware DLLs (Dynamic Link Library). It is required to register a DLL for every hardware setup in the system.
To open the window, choose Administration > Retail Configuration > Hardware Registration.

Hardware Type
|
Select one of the following types of hardware for which the hardware register(s) has to be searched:

Cash Drawer
Pole Display
Magstripe Reader
Scale
Signature Capture
Barcode Reader
Fiscal Printer

Code
|
Displays the code of the hardware register(s) searched.

Description

Displays the description of the hardware register(s) searched.
|
Setup Screen

Enter the code of the hardware register. A unique code of a maximum 20 alphanumeric characters can be entered.

Enter the description of the hardware register. A description of maximum 100 alphanumeric characters can be entered.

Hardware Type
|
Select the type of hardware for which the hardware register is being setup.
|
Assembly Name
|
Displays the assembly name for the DLL. The value in this field is automatically displayed on selecting the DLL location.
|
Class Name
|
Displays the class name available in the DLL. Select the class name from the options available in the drop down.
|
[Config]
|
Click the button to configure the settings for the selected hardware type.
|
[OK]
|
The button updates changes to the database and closes the screen.
|
[Cancel]
|
The button does not save any changes and closes the screen.
