Forecast Planning

Look Up

Select a Forecast Planning from the list of Forecast Planning(s). Click [...] to open the Forecast Planning Search screen and select the Forecast Planning.

1. On selection on Forecast Planning, System will generate forecast result without clicking on Generate Forecast button. If forecast result is already generated for the selected parameters then system will ask to override the exisitng forecast.

Forecasting Method

Combo Box

Select one of the following forecasting method to view the forecast result.

•ExpertSelection

•ExponentialSmoothing

•BoxJenkins 

•SimppleMovingAverage

•Discrete

•IntermittentData

•CurveFitting

•VerySimpleModels

Forecasting Sub Method

Combo Box

For Forecasting Method = ExponentialSmoothing

Select one of the following forecasting method to view the forecast result.

•Auto

•Simple

•Holt

•Winter

For Forecasting Method = CurveFittingType

Select one of the following forecasting method to view the forecast result.

•Auto

•StraightLine

•Quadratic

•Exponential

•GrowthCurve

1. Field will be applicable only when forecasting method is either ExponentialSmoothing or CurveFitting.

View

Combo Box

Select one of the following View to see the forecast result.

•Quantity

•Amount

1. If Quantity is selected then Forecasting result will be displayed quantity wise.

2. If Amount is selected the forecasting result will be displayed amount wise. (i.e. Product quantity multiplied by product price specified in selected price list.)

Price List

Lookup

Select a Price List from the list of Price List(s). Click [...] to open the Price List Search screen and select the Price List.

1. Field will be applicable only when View is selected as Amount.

[Export]

Button

This button is used to export the generated forecast data to an Excel file.

[Import]

Button

Exported data can be updated by the user and this changed forecast can then be imported into the system using this option.

Only override quantity and comments are updated in the system while importing the changed forecast.

[Generate Forecast]

Button

Generates forecast based on the selected parameters.

[Ok]

Button

Saves the changes and closes the screen.

[Cancel]

Button

Closes the screen without saving the changes.

Additional Actions

Double click on the forecast

Double Click

User can double click on any result cell of the generated forecast to change the forecast quantity. System records this as the overridden quantity.
